UNDP coordinates closely with donors and potential donors through bilateral discussions and field trips, in order to mobilize sufficient funds for the relevant support needed in the affected communities across Myanmar.
The Human Development Initiative (HDI) took effect in 1994 and is still currently being implemented throughout the country.
All assistance from UNDP and related funds for Myanmar are targeted towards projects having grass-roots-level impact, particularly in the areas of primary health care, the environment, HIV/AIDS, training and education and food security
Funding is crucial to the ongoing survival and sustainability of our programmes, and we thank all of our donors to date for helping UNDP help the people of this Myanmar.
