Since the imposition of mandate restrictions on UNDP in Myanmar by the Executive Board in1993, UNDP’s programme in the country has been limited to grass-roots interventions under the Human Development Initiative (HDI), a set of projects which supports 8,000 villages in over 60 townships nationwide. Database for losses and damages of disasters to be established in Myanmar

24 December, Nay Pyi Taw - A database for losses and damages of disasters will be established in Myanmar to help develop national capacities for monitoring and analyzing risks and vulnerabilities caused by disasters in support of disaster risk reduction, mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery efforts.
