This document provides an overview of the methodology used in the Local Governance mapping exercise being undertaken in the 14 states and regions of Myanmar. The purpose of this mapping is to improve the understanding of the current quality of local governance and service delivery at township and lower levels. UNDP has partnered with the General Administration Department under the Ministry of Home Affairs to conduct the local governance mapping exercise.
