Consultative Workshop on Developing a Framework for Administrative Reform
The Consultative Workshop on Developing a Framework for Administrative Reform for Myanmar will be held in Nay Pyi Taw from 22-23 May.
The workshop will deepen the discussion on the four main themes that have been identified as framing administrative reform in Myanmar, namely (1) Civil Service Capacity Development; (2) Public service delivery, (3) Decentralisation, and (4) Transparency & Accountability. It will also identify ways in which ongoing and new, short, medium and longer-term interventions can be consolidated into a flexible framework to Administrative Reform in Myanmar. The presentations and discussions from the workshop would inform discussions and form the basis of the framework for administrative reform (FAR).
The workshop will be officially opened by H.E U Thein Sein, President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
Union Minister H. E. U Hla Htun will also speak at the opening session as well as UNDP Country Director Toily Kurbanov.
The workshop will be attended by representatives of Union and State/Regions level ministries and institutions, members of Parliament, members of the Supreme Court, civil society organizations, academia, media and development partners and international experts
