This week we're celebrating our partnership with Australia in our efforts for a sustainable planet without poverty and injustice.
Australia is a vital partner in UNDP’s mission to end extreme poverty, reduce inequality and accelerate structural transformations, build resilience to crisis and shocks and achieve the goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Australia is one of the key partners of the Government of Myanmar and UNDP. The Government of Australia advocates for a strong, prosperous and stable Indo-Pacific region and building capacity of the national human rights institutions, such as the Myanmar National Human Rights Commission, is key.
Support from Australia enable us to help countries address priorities such as democratic governance and the rule of law, promote inclusive and sustainable growth, combat climate change, build resilience, address root causes of conflict and improve gender equality.
